thief on the run in Meghalaya
My nokia mobile phone has been stolen. So you can say there is a thief on the run in Meghalaya with my mobile phone. Yes, it happen one day I was practicing singing and did some recording with it and put it in a place in the terrace of my office building and forgot to put it in my pocket when the singing practice was over. It was only in the afternoon, when I thought to dial someone that I remember about my mobile phone. But when I reach there it was no more there. I tried calling my phone to find it from some other phone but it was just ringing and no one was picking it up and I could get the sound. Later in the evening, the person who took the phone must have taken off the sim card coz when I dial my phone, I got prompt from reliance that my mobile is switch off. For three days, I was so sad and disappointed but I had to use three months saving to get it. It was an expensive mobile phone, like a dream I have been wishing for many years. My mobile is a new phone, of 3 months old. I miss my mobile phone. I wish I could track this criminal and put him in jail. But yes, with time my mind was running with idea on how to solve the problem. Yes, people could use tracker system but yes, I came to know of the tracing system too late. Now I'm only dreaming of tracking the thief, seaching for ideas and ways at least that the next gaget I buy will be a nightmare for the thief. Yes, I have thought and thought about I and I thought to myself. Why done the Mobile phones makers like Sony, Motorola etc create non erasable identification for the memory card, mobile phone and every possible adds up of the mobile which will be require for our phone connection to be activated and the Mobile phones Service Providers take note of these and store it in the user database and when a person dials a number to check if the number has been dial from the specified identification. And if not, to keep track of the location from where the call was made and to who. This way, a person like me can easily find the criminal stealing our precious phone. Yes, this would be for a person like me who could not afford expensive Gadgets with tracing system.

Blackout Ends Scorpion show in Shillong
Yesterday, hall of fame German metal band, Scorpion rocked Shillong like a hurricane at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Polo Ground with above 45 thousands screaming fans. The first song was from the new album, "Humanity Hour I" released this year. The last song was, "When the smoke is going down" from the 1982 album, "Black Out". They will be playing in Delhi on 14 and Bangalore on 16 this month. The opening act was performed by local band, Akhia, which emerged winner at a recent rock concert. Then followed by legendary Shillong band, Great Society, like sweet old wine with leading man Lou Majaw doing all the old trick he have learn through the years very professional with RG Lyndoh behind him. Rumours are that the next band to rock Shillong will be White Lion. Yes, rumours are a way to market and keep people expecting, just like there were rumours that Sepultura and other bands will come to rock Shillong and it did really happen. One of the great hopes of Shillongians are that the Bryan Adams will give this City of Rock a Summer of 69 next 2008. I hope with all the glamorous flavour arriving in Shillong, that this place will continue to shine in all prospects: education, arts, development in every field.

Living and believing in Shillong
I have come accross so many people who have so little faith that I can make it to the top as I use to wish. Sometime it is big disappointing listening to them but as I think and look around me, well they are just saying what they are like. Yes, as I look at their life, it just shows they are big losers and they cant imagine someone successing. Also they are coward to chase dreams and people with no ideas so they cant imagine what I'm like. I relise what a piety it is to know people like them but yes, I cant wait for such people to change, I will just move on and live my life to the full and live my dream. I'm still looking forward for the concert I have mention earlier, it may not be a wonderful beginning but to get anyway I guess we just have to start somewhere.

Dirty Politic By Dirty Ministers In Meghalaya
While many states have developed well in India, in 60 years of Independent India, many parts of Meghalaya remain without any electricity supply, poor connectivity and water shortage. Even the national road is in a bad state and none of the ministers take any interest in raising a voice to make it better. Election is coming next year, here in Meghalaya, and the politicians will make all these as political issues and make lame promises to the public and when the election is over, nothing is done. Yes, look at PA Sangma, making use of the MBOSE, shooting issues and many others to win the election while years has gone, he did nothing to improve the state as a whole when he was a Minister. Now he wants to divide the state by putting the blame on the Khasi and Jaintia. It is surprising to see that he has put all his attention on the Garos and did nothing for the other people in the state and yet he call his people neglected. It is a shame that people like them represent our state. Yes, they gives you sweet talks and promises that has no meaning when the election are over. When people are working for unity and development, they are playing dirty politics. Yes, forget the electronic voting or police personals to keep vigil of the process coz you know they are mere spectator of the whole process. It is a joke knowing criminals becoming ministers but it is a fact. Publish Post

Land that gets the heaviest rainfall in the world
Mawsynram which is in East Khasi Hills of Mehgalaya gets one of the heaviest rainfall in the world and all of the surrounding areas here like Shillong and Jowai do not miss the rain either. It can be cold and foggy throughout the year. But as everyone is aware of Global warming, the summer just gets hotter hotter here too which is not common phenomenon for a place that use to be such a cool place to be on earth. Just like everywhere on earth, due to deforestation talking place around our state without care, our beautiful forest are dying out just as much we are having drinking water shortage because of pollution in our streams and electricity failure because of all the mis-management in our government and society.

About our past, Meghalaya
Sometime I look in nat geo channel about prehistory era and ancient Roman, Greek and other civilization, they all had a history which goes back a long way in time, but I wonder where is our. We have a lot of folk tales talking about our past and I'm sure we are the invisible hill tribes of the northeast, that is why we are made our home in Meghalaya which is Scotland of the East in India, a land fill with milk and honey like no other place in north east of India, an abode of clouds. We are rich with natural resource, and sure we have fought battles to have this land as our home when we were nomads. As history goes every beautiful land will be a land to envy, so it will be no surprise to know that we have fought a lot of battles in the time long gone ago but yes, what we need a scientific study to know from where did we come and what route did we take to reach here. Was there any other settlers before us! Yes, we have no castles or historic remains much to study of where our forefathers came from and there is no written documents as the dead and their belongs were burn with them before christianity spread in the state. I'm sure with science, we can get to learn a lot about the generation before us.
