Shillong The heart of Rock in India

Shillong which is in the north eastern part of India is the heart of Rock music in India. No where in India is Rock music more popular than here. Shillong which is the capital of Meghalaya has hosted of rock shows for international rock bands like Petra, Firehouse, Micheal Learn To Rock (MLTR), Paul Diano( ex member of Iron Maiden), Eric Martin( ex member of Mr. Big), brazilian heavy metal Sepultura, and very soon Scorpion too will rock the stage of Shillong. It was wonderful to be born here knowning we are living at the heart of rock and hope Meghalaya give birth to new rock music too from its soil. Long Live Meghalaya and keep hoping for bigger name to rock the stage of Shillong.

Meghalaya Today

Meghalaya is a beautiful state which is mostly a hilly terrain, and is close to the international border of India with Bangladesh. A lot of Meghalaya borders lies in uncertainty with neighbouring state like Assam and country Bangladesh. Not many people in the Western world recognize Meghalaya as a unique place with its unique tribes which is unique from the rest of India. People here eat rice as a staple food. The three tribes of Meghalaya are Jaintians, Khasi and Garos.
